The purpose of the contact lens fitting visit is to employ special tests and measurements, as well as taking additional history information, to determine the best possible contact lens fit for the patient.
Numerous factors must be taken into account. These include occupation, medical history and the presence of allergies. If a good fit is obtained at the initial visit, the patient will be trained fully in insertion, removal and proper care of contact lenses.
